Season 9 of Blue Bloods really took fans for a wild ride. With the ongoing drama between Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray), a supernatural visit from Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson), and the return of Danny Reagan's (Donnie Wahlberg) arch nemesis, viewers saw many troubling times. Now, the police procedural is coming back for season 10 to tie up all of those loose ends we saw in the finale episode.

"Blue Bloods has been a top-10 drama and Friday's top-rated show every year it's been on the air," said president of the network, Kelly Kahl. "On a night that many have claimed is quiet for broadcast television, its quality writing, superb acting, and familial warmth have attracted an average of over 13 million passionate viewers each week for nine years."

When will season 10 premiere?

Mark your calendars: Season 10 will debut on Friday, September 27, at 10 p.m. EST. The official Blue Bloods Instagram account announced the premiere date with a photo featuring an iconic Reagan family dinner.

So, is Tom Selleck coming back?

The network has announced that Tom Selleck AKA Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, whose future with the program was once up in the air, will officially join for another year. "We are delighted that Tom will return and that the show will continue to be a vital component of the CBS schedule next season," Kahl said.

Which other cast members are returning?

Although there hasn't been an official announcement on whether the rest of the cast members will return, the show's stars have been active on social media since Blue Bloods was renewed for another season. Donnie Wahlberg uploaded a fun video of with Marisa Ramirez at a news desk proclaiming the renewal. "ITS OFFICIAL — #BLUEBLOODS SEASON 10 IS ON THE WAY! Congrats to the cast and crew!" he wrote.

Will Estes also took to social media in July to celebrate the cast filming the show's 200th episode. The sweet photo featured all of the actors we'd hoped would be returning, so it doesn't seem like we'll have another Linda Reagan situation on our hands. (But you never know.)

Will we see more of Jamie and Eddie's wedding?

Unfortunately, it's unlikely that viewers will get to see more of the Jamko nuptials. Though fans were upset there was hardly any footage of the wedding in the season 9 finale, that was an intentional move by producers—and even Tom backed up their decision.

The actor explained that the show wants to focus more on conflict in relationships, and showing too much of the wedding would have overshadowed that.

"The jeopardy in our show is a danger to the relationships," Tom told Deadline. "You can get momentary jeopardy to a character and a tense life-threatening situation, but you can't even hang a whole show on that. What you can hang it on is an audience's sense of anticipation based on what they want and what appears to not be happening."

"That's why in this season's finale, we don't show the whole wedding ceremony. How are we going to beat Charles and Di splendor or pomp?" he went on. "You need some sort of conflict or concern or something to make that kind of scene work like with Eddie and Frank or something else."

Still, Blue Bloods is known for surprises and could flash back to the wedding later on—but the first trailer for season 10 doesn't show any footage of the big day.

Yes! A teaser for the upcoming season gives fans a glimpse at all the drama coming their way, and it looks very intense.

"Spend your night with the legends of the NYPD," the voiceover says while various clips play in the background. One scene shows newlywed Jamie carrying his wife (!!!) Eddie over the threshold of their home. In the next clip, Danny carries an unknown victim away from an exploding car in the exact same way—creating a very eerie mirror effect.

The rest of the video shows a lot of weapons, a lot of action, and a lot of Tom's character looking very unhappy. In other words, you don't want to miss this.
